Mahindra two-wheelers have long said that they are concentrating more on their bikes like Mojo, Java and similar vehicles other than fooling around with its scooters. But it seems like Mahindra is aiming for another round by launching a special edition version of their Gusto scooter. Mahindra is aiming this festive season to sell its stylized Gusto RS by launching it with attractive offers. The limited edition version; Gusto RS will retain the many advanced features like the remote flip key, find-me lamps, highly adjustable seats and a smooth engine with top class mileage along with an all-new paint job and graphics.
Mahindra has done some nice tweaks and design changes to the new special edition RS and it has a fresh feel to it, but other than that the scooter is same in the mechanical department. The new Gusto RS look very stylish and friendly in the design aspects to attract new customers. But other than that it is the same Gusto overall.
Engine
The new Gusto RS comes with the same 109.6 Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, Air Cooled, SI Engine and produces 8.0 bhp @ 7500 ± 500rpm and a 9 NM @ 5500 ± 500rpm. Mahindra has really tweaked the new Gusto RS to very stylish from the design perspective but the company hasn't touched the mechanical part and engine of the scooter.
Chassis, Suspension & Braking
Mahindra has provided 12-inch Tubeless tyres as stock in this scooter along with a suspension setup that uses a hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and a Coil Type, Hydraulic at the rear provides nimble handing in all terrains with good balance and riding comfort. The braking system is done with Drum Brake with Dia 130mm at the front and rear. Mahindra could have given disc brakes at the rear for more secure braking.
