The Honda Forza 125 is an all-rounder when it comes to the clan of the scooter segment. This maxi scooter is a smaller version of the more powerful scooters that rules the maxi scooter segment. For a first looker, the Forza may look like a sports bike from the wide and robust front fairing, while it also may look a cross between a scooter and bike when it is viewed from the rear side. The maxi scooter has been a point of interest for the many as it provided more powerful features and engine of a mighty motorcycle with a scooter-like design. Honda decided to experiment this segment by providing a small cylinder engine in the Forza 125.
Honda has made this maxi scooter to be everything that the city life demands. The Forza showcases a robust and compact design that leans closer to the aesthetics and heritage of Honda engineering and design concepts.
Design
A Full LED lighting, revised rear suspension, Smart Key technology, a lightweight chassis and other design features with class-leading acceleration and performance from the new engine perfectly balances the making of this highway performance scooter. This maxi scooter showcases all that a maxi scooter sports and Honda has given a premium sporty look and feel to the making of this scooter.
LCD Display
A very clear mounted display panel is provided in the Forza and it is set at a height which is comfortable and easy for viewing. The LCD display showcases attractive deep colour tones with the speedo and rev-counter clearly shown.
The Central LCD block features all the necessary details required for the rider like the Clock, Fuel gauge, Average fuel economy meter, section fuel economy meter, A&B Trip meters, Odometer and Coolant Temperature information.
Smart Key
A Smart Key System is present in this scooter for added protection. With this system, the scooter can be powered on with a single touch. This innovative system contains a switch that can control the fuel and seat and a vehicle lock on and off switch.
The Smart Key also illuminates when pushed from within or from the answer back function of the Key with its blue light. Honda also provided an immobiliser in this scooter as a standard fitment to prevent theft.
Full LED Lights
Premium LED technology with dual LED headlights are gives in the Forza 125 and this gives this maxi scooter a crisp edge and unique identity over other scooters clans.The turn indicators of this power scooter are mounted at a height almost as same as the mirror body.
This repositioned turn indicator improved the visibility of the scooter when it is moving through cities and in heavy traffic. Stereoscopic LED taillights are also provided to match the LED number plate illumination and gives the Forza 125 a powerful look while it's on the streets.
Key-Less Operation
The Forza 125 comes with a feature that enables riders to start the vehicle without inserting the key every time when starting this scooter. The riders can keep the key in the pocket itself while riding. Honda has provided switches for fuel cap and seat lock, this smart function comes with on/off and ‘answer back', which blips the indicators for identification.
Idling Stop Switch
The Forza 125 has an Idling stop switch that is operated by a single touch on the right handlebar. The Idling system automatically stops the engine when it running after three seconds at idle and restarts it instantly when the throttle is given. The Idling system provides more efficiency and save fuel on hefty traffic and decreases pollution.
Adjustable Wind Shield
A simple and easily adjustable windshield also comes with the new Forza and Honda has provided a unique six position adjustment for this shield to protect the rider from any harm and weather at higher speeds.
The windshield also protects the rider from dust while cruising through traffic. The protection of windshield helps all types of riders and provides comfort in all riding conditions.
Storage
The Forza has a huge and secure under seat storage of 48 litres. This big storage is a real bonus when packing for a big ride across the country side or to unknown places.
The big storage can hold away helmets, sports wear, shopping bags and other essentials very easily. The glove box up at the front provides a little more extra storage too and contains a 12V socket for charging your mobile device while on the go.
Engine
The new Forza 125 sports a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke 4-Valve SOHC engine that comes with ESP and low-friction technology engine and follows the EURO4 emission norms. The engine produces 14.7 bhp @ 8750rpm and a peak torque of 12.5Nm @ 8,250rpm. Honda has made the engine more refined and made it more frictionless, so the Forza 125 delivers more power to the rear wheels without much transmission losses.
The engine provides good mid-range power and is ideal for moving through traffic and highways on with much agility and control. It gets the rapid response of power from the PGM-FI electronic fuel injection technology and thus this maxi scooter is able to deliver power and torque in a very broad range making it amazing to ride on any roads and terrains.
Braking and Suspension
The Suspension duties of this scooter are done by Telescopic suspension at the front and a Twin Suspension set up at the rear. A Tubular steel underbone chassis is giving support for this maxi scooter to provide maximum riding comfort at all speeds.
The breaking of the Forza is done with ABS technology that gives superior braking at all road conditions and provides maximum safety on traffic and even on uneven terrains. A wide 15-inch front wheel provides also provides maximum stability and confidence while riding at higher speeds combined with the rear which is backed up by the 14-inch section tyres. The big wide tyres provide confidence while cornering and the showcase more stability and strength when on higher speeds.
Colour and Availability
The Honda Forza 125 is available in Lucent Silver Metallic, Matte Pearl Pacific Blue, Black Matte Ruthenium Silver Metallic and Matt Pearl Cool White & Matt Pearl Pacific Blue. Currently, the Forza 125 is not available in India. Even though there is much love for scooters in the country, the powerful maxi scooters are not yet available in India. This may be due to the conservative behaviour of the two wheeler buyers who have the tendency to stick on to conventional scooter designs. But with the post modernization taking over the globe, the waves of change will also hit India and we can certainly hope that more powerful scooters will be available in the country very soon.
